Lomin (CEO Kang Ji-hong) announced on the 20th that it had significantly improved the recognition performance of its handwriting OCR through a research project as part of the 2021 National Records Management and Utilization Technology R&D project by the National Archives of Korea. Handwriting OCR technology has faced significant challenges in recognizing various handwriting styles and has had limitations in real-world applications due to the lack of datasets suitable for deep learning.
