Lomin Document AI Platform Earns KISA Cloud Security Assurance Certification

Lomin's AI agent platform, Lomin, has become the first in the document AI industry to obtain the SaaS Standard Grade of the Cloud Security Assurance Program (CSAP) from the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA).

Lomin has previously delivered its document AI to public institutions through on-premise deployments, and can now offer it as a cloud service as well. CSAP is a certification program under which KISA evaluates and certifies whether a cloud service complies with national information security standards. It is regarded as a key requirement for entering the public cloud market.

Public institutions can now adopt Lomin as SaaS without building a separate system. Lomin converts unstructured documents, including scanned documents, faxes, image PDFs, and handwriting, into data that is ready to use in business systems, and integrates it with existing administrative systems.

In public sector operations that involve high volumes of paperwork, such as civil services, welfare, taxation, procurement, contracts, settlements, and records management, Lomin reduces repetitive document data entry and raises the level of business process automation.

Lomin is a document AI agent platform that automates the entire document workflow, from Vision Language Model (VLM) based document recognition and structural analysis (parsing) to classification, information extraction, cross-document comparison, personal data de-identification, and business system integration.

Grounding and confidence prediction are Lomin's core technologies for increasing real-world automation rates. Grounding marks the source location in the original document for every value the AI extracts, allowing users to identify incorrectly extracted values immediately.

Confidence prediction selects only the results with a high likelihood of error and routes them to reviewers for verification. This minimizes the scope of human review and reduces the review workload.

Lomin also includes Redact, a personal data de-identification feature that enables security-sensitive public documents to be used safely. Redact detects personal information that text-based approaches often miss and de-identifies it irreversibly.

Lomin plans to complete its SaaS registration on the Public Procurement Service's Digital Service Mall within the year, and intends to expand SaaS supply to small and mid-sized enterprises going forward.

"We will automate a wide range of public sector document work, including civil services, administration, and records management, more efficiently," said Jihong Kang, CEO of Lomin. "Following our on-premise offering, we aim to establish Lomin as the document AI that public institutions can trust on SaaS as well."

Lomin currently serves more than 80 customers, primarily in the public and financial sectors. The company holds New Excellent Product (NEP) and New Excellent Technology (NET) certifications, and has been designated as an Innovative Product and an Excellent Procurement Product.

Lomin previously launched the Lomin platform, which brings together document AI capabilities that had been offered as separate solutions, including optical character recognition (OCR), personal data de-identification, document parsing, and contract comparison and verification. The capabilities were unified into a single platform to improve service efficiency and scalability.
