Document AI solutions provider Lomin, for instance, is collaborating with Korea Post to pilot an AI handwriting recognition system based on Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology at key locations such as Dongjak and Nam Bucheon Post Offices. Traditionally, postal workers manually entered handwritten addresses, but with this system, addresses are automatically digitized as soon as they are scanned, significantly improving efficiency.
A Lomin representative stated, "Our handwriting recognition technology can process various handwriting styles, reducing errors in document handling and alleviating repetitive workloads."
Lomin has also applied its AI OCR technology to the Korea Intellectual Property Office’s formal review of patent litigation applications, streamlining the process of detecting and addressing format-related errors.
These efforts demonstrate the transformative potential of AI technologies in enhancing efficiency and reducing burdens across public sector operations.
