Strategic Partnership to Advance Logistics AI OCR Technology and Accelerate Business Expansion

Document AI specialist Lomin Inc. (CEO Jihong Kang) announced on the 19th that it has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ECA System Co., Ltd. (CEO Joongsoon Lee) to collaborate on AI OCR technology for postal and logistics applications. This partnership aims to deliver advanced AI-driven solutions capable of recognizing and utilizing image-based data collected in logistics operations both domestically and internationally.

Lomin has developed a proprietary deep learning-based AI Optical Character Recognition (OCR) engine that accurately recognizes both printed and handwritten text. The company has proven its technological capabilities across diverse industries including finance, public sector, manufacturing, and trade.

Lomin’s AI OCR technology is highly compatible with image data obtained from Image Processing Systems (IPS) used in the classification of both domestic and international postal items. Through this MOU, the company expects to create tangible business value by integrating its technology with ECA System’s established logistics automation solutions.

Founded in 2005, ECA System has built a strong reputation in the logistics industry by supplying automation systems to major players such as Korea Post, Coupang, CJ Logistics, Lotte Global Logistics, and DHL. Leveraging experience from partnerships with global companies like Vitronic and Bizerba in Germany, ECA System specializes in delivering optimized field-ready solutions.

Under this partnership, the two companies plan to co-develop and deploy AI OCR solutions tailored for both public postal services and private logistics providers.
